Our herding and beloved inside dogs... may they be
relaxing on soft beds and chasing all of the cattle
and rounding up wayward sheep they want to.. with
lots of chew toys and treats in between
Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGD) are the backbone of any sheep operation in which dog protection is warranted and a
good fit.

Without them, coyotes and other predators such as feral dogs, your neighbor's dogs, wolves, eagles, hawks, and the large cats,
could be attacking, mauling, and killing your sheep.

Their work and dedication can not be underestimated and good working guard dogs are priceless.

While you are not with the sheep, these dogs are all that stand between the predators and your sheep.

do not count on adult rams or ewes to be able to protect themselves and other sheep from predators.  Even the most spirited
adult can not withstand a systemic attack from packs or even one very determined predator.

There are several options available for predator control.
Please research and carefully consider all of the pros and cons of each option before you choose one or more but do not put it off!!
It can only take ONE attack from a predator(s) to do significant financial and emotional harm to your operation!
For Iron Diamond Farm, the Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs) are the most efficient and effective protection.
